Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl, Knocked Up) is the embodiment of the old saying 'always the bridesmaid, never the bride' having faithfully been a bridesmaid on twenty-seven separate occasions. Unlucky in love and inexplicably pining for her clueless boss George (Edward Burns), she devotes herself to her frazzled friends while dreaming of her own perfect wedding day. When her sister Tess breezes into town and quickly becomes engaged to George, Jane struggles with the idea of watching the man that she loves marry someone else.
