This film marks the historic first-ever onscreen pairing of martial art superstars Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Shot on location in China, and featuring the awesome action choreography of Wo Ping (The Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) Forbidden Kingdom tells the story of a teenage kung-fu flick enthusiast Jason (Michael Angarano) who discovers an ancient gold staff that magically transports him to ancient China, where he haphazardly enters a quest to return the magical staff to the Monkey King (Li).
