Ving Rhames stars as convicted felon Reverend Armstrong Cane. After serving his prison sentence for manslaughter, he returns back to his old neighborhood to take over his father's church. The church lies in a tough neighborhood, and Reverend Cane tries to use his strong faith to help save some of the young criminals while refusing to let his own dark past overwhelm him.
