Operated exclusively by credit or debit card, there are no application forms to complete, no clerks to pay and no cash to collect. Rental transactions take less than a minute. ABOUT THE JOB
FSEs are responsible for inspection, operation, maintenance, repairs (scheduled and emergency), and modification on all DVDPlay equipment in the field. FSEs also assist with installations and provide support in escalated situations.
Major tasks include preventive maintenance, system level troubleshooting, repairs, field service calls, field upgrades, training and providing technical supports via emails and/or phones.
FSEs are required to work out of home office as well as travel to install sites to service machines. They must have a valid, driver’s license and proof of current insurance. Positions requires extensive travel (90%-95%) mainly local in the assigned region.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform onsite preventive maintenance, unscheduled maintenance/repair and remote repair on all DVDPlay equipment
- Work closely with technical support team to resolve escalated problems
- Identify and analyze root causes of system inefficiencies or failure
- Assist in Level Two monitoring and troubleshooting of DVDPlay systems
- Provide detailed documentation for each site visit performed and enter into our tracking system in a timely manner
- Maintain equipment, calibration items, and other job related materials
- Assist with installation
- Identify and resolve more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.
- Handle calls and email inquiries from the field and provides technical support.
- Implement software changes remotely, as well as at kiosk locations.
- Install, integrate and test products at wireless kiosk locations.
- Support field acceptance of products.
- Provide technical assistance to other field technicians. Some scheduled 24-hour on-call rotation required.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly reliable self-starter; can-do attitude; able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to focus and understand field support needs; strong interpersonal and telephone skills for regular field interaction
- 5 or more years of experience in installing or repairing electro-mechanical capital equipments preferred.
- Capital equipments with complex electro-mechanical with some software experiences are advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; understanding of complex electro-mechanical systems preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills within all levels of the organization; ability to make presentations before a group of people
- Demonstrated self-initiative and sound judgment
- A team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Highly customer-focused (both externally and internally)
- Must be able to quickly learn and apply knowledge to real-world problems
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must be able to lift or move approximately 50 pounds
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or Technical diploma in a technical field such as electronics and industry experience and 4-8 years of relevant industry experience (field service, technician, etc)
- 3-5 years military experience in a relevant field (eg. Electronics Technician)
- Bachelor's Degree in CS or equivalent
- 2+ years with mechanical background & electronics
- 5+ years technical experience with working knowledge of Windows XP and Linux
