DVDPlay Appoints Andrew Preston as Chief Financial Officer

Silicon Valley Executive Brings Successful Background to Leading Movie Rental Company

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DVDPlay announced today that Andrew Preston has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. He was formerly a principal at Venture Consulting and Valuations Group where he served as an interim CEO, CFO, COO and CMO in start-ups and turn-around companies.

Prior to joining Venture Consulting in 2001 as a principal, Preston served as President and COO of Softbook, where he increased sales ten fold the first year, and sold the company to Gem/Star TVGuide. He was also President and acting CFO of Zane Interactive Publishing where he raised over $3 million in venture capital. He served as President for six years at TMaker-Deluxe Corporation where he raised venture capital funds and repositioned the company into a multi-product content and educational/entertainment software publisher, increasing revenue from $1M to $12M before selling the company to Deluxe Corporation.

Preston was also a senior consultant and auditor at Arthur Andersen and a Washington lobbyist in association with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Preston serves on the board of Every One Matters, a non-profit organization.
