Untitled Document

If you're a fan of Jack Finney's 1955 novel The Body Snatchers, or of the 1956 film version called Invasion of the Body Snatchers, or the 1978 film remake Invasion of the Body Snatchers, or the 1993 film remake The Body Snatchers, or the 2005 television series Invasion, or the 1984 film A Nightmare On Elm Street, or the TV series 1982-1986 T.J. Hooker, or the 2007 version of Nicole Kidman, then you might possibly, maybe, perhaps, could be, there's a chance, it's feasible, conceivable, that you could enjoy this 2007 film remake The Invasion.

Nicole Kidman plays the hottest psychologist in America, sort of a reappraisal of her character in the 1990 Days of Thunder where she plays the hottest brain surgeon in the world. Or all her other movies, where she plays the hottest whatever her characters supposed to be. Basically what I/m saying is...Nicole Kidman is hot!

Anyways, the space shuttle crashes into earth bringing with it some strange alien virus, that when touched by a human the alien virus takes over the human's body. But here's the kicker, the human has to fall asleep before the alien virus can take control of the body. I think the virus has to wait until Freddy Kruger kills the human's soul before it can do its alien business. From this point all the drama and suspense unfold in a very dramatic and suspenseful way. Nicole Kidman's character races through the streets of Washington DC trying to save her son from the nasty alien virus going around. At one point in her continuous escape, she crashes her car and is temporarily knocked unconscious. Twenty alien invaded humans jump on her car in an attempt to get to her. She wakes up; engine is still running; she slams on the gas and races down the street with about twenty hood riders on her car. More hood riding going on in this one scene than in all the episodes of T.J Hooker put together. Without a doubt, the greatest hood riding scene in American cinema (I can't count Indian cinema, because in Indian hood riding is a normal mode of transportation) If you only watch one body snatching movie this year, make it this one. By the way, it's available in any DVDPlay rental kiosk. How convenient!
